(1) CasualtiesBased on the currently available information, we have confirmed that there have been no casualties among ULVAC group company executives and employees.
(2) Damage to ULVAC group company facilitiesThe production facilities of ULVAC TOHOKU, Inc. (Kita Inter Kogyo Danchi, Hachinohe, Aomori), one of ULVAC's consolidated subsidiaries, were not seriously affected by the earthquake, and have resumed production after the restoration of the electricity supply.
The ULVAC group has production sites not only in Japan (Chigasaki, Fuji Susono, Aichi, Tomisato, Sammu, and Kagoshima) but also in Korea, Taiwan and elsewhere, so we believe the effects of the earthquake on our group companies' production activities will be minimal. However, since some of our cargo that was being processed for shipping at the port of Hachinohe was affected by the tsunami, we have been currently investigating the situation.We will promptly disclose any facts relating to any expected significant affect on our results for this period.
