Notification of additional funding to "Hayashi-ULVAC MISTI Seed Fund"

ULVAC Inc. is pleased to announce its additional funding to the "Hayashi-ULVAC MISTI Seed Fund"*. The Fund supports collaboration between faculty and researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as "MIT") in the United States and Japanese universities and public research institutions.

When ULVAC was founded, it received free technical support from the National Research Corporation (NRC) in Cambridge, MA, which was established by Dr. Richard Morse, a graduate of MIT. Therefore in 2008 Dr. Chikara Hayashi, the former president of ULVAC donated to MIT to establish the "Hayashi MISTI Seed Fund". ULVAC decided to provide additional funding in 2017 and the Fund was renamed as the "Hayashi-ULVAC MISTI Seed Fund". MISTI (MIT International Science and Technology Initiative), is a part of MIT that provides support for MIT faculty and researchers to collaborate with universities and public research institutions in Japan, as well as provide global research and internship opportunities for MIT students.
