On July 28, 2025, a "fully Japan-made" superconducting quantum computer―composed entirely of domestically manufactured key components, parts, and software―will begin operation at the Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Biology (QIQB), The University of Osaka.
The system is equipped with a dilution refrigerator jointly developed by ULVAC, Inc. and ULVAC CRYOGENICS INCORPORATED.
